MERLOT

Region:Central Valley, Chile
Grape Variety:90% Merlot, 10% Carménère
Production Technique:
After fermentation and maceration, 70% of the wine is aged in small American oak barriques for six to eight months, 30% is aged in stainless steel. It is then followed by an additional month in the bottle.

Description:
Color: Dark and deep red.
Bouquet: Attractive aromas of black plum, smoke, herbs and mocha.
Taste: Smooth with great structure. Fruity taste and full body. Chocolate and herb accents add palate interest.
Alcohol Content: 13.8%
Total Acidity: 5.03g/l

Casillero del Diablo Merlot is big in volume and smooth, while exhibiting great structure. Dark and deep red color. Luscious fruit flavors: cherries, currants, berries and plums. On the palate, hints of mocha and herbs, generously framed by toasty American oak. It has a mouthfilling texture and is soft, but well structured. The wine is excellent with a variety of cheeses, meats and pasta dishes.

Winemaker Papa told us he added 10% Carmenere to the wine to give it interest and tighther structure because Merlot is a delicate varietal in Chile. The color is ruby. There's delicacy here, with soft sweet spice and vanilla tones, with rich blueberry pie flavors and chocolate and mocha flavors. There's much more of the same in the finish.

看語評的印象，2007年是個好年。但是2006年天候不佳，一瓶賣903日圓也沒有人買。購買時請務必注意年份，不要以為自己檢到便宜了。。

趁著C.S.的記憶猶新，買了Merlot作為比較。只有在開瓶的那一煞那有聞到果香，倒到杯子裡，什麼香味都沒了。ajisai不知道酒睡覺的時候會呈現出什麼現象，不過ajisai知道這瓶酒一覺不起了，心電圖呈現直線。是葡萄的底子太弱了吧。。。

再一次購買的機率 0%。
